The CND Experience at Jesi Mendez Salon BGC

Hey guys!

Earlier this week, CND Philippines invited me to try out their products at Jesi Mendez Salon located at The Fort BGC.

For those of you who heard about CND (Creative Nail Design Inc.) for the first time, they are actually the global leader in professional nail, hand, and foot beauty, including SHELLAC Brand 14+ Day Nail Color. They are based in Vista CA.

I'm actually a fan of their VINYLUX line especially the top coat since 2015.

What's awesome about the Vinylux™ Weekly Polish is that even without a base coat it can last for more than a week, exposure to natural light activates the Prolight Technology™ the reason why the mani become more durable over time. ;)

So here's what the pamper station looked like when I arrived at the salon.. that photo of me is kinda extra.. It made me feel special. ;)

These are my color choices, CND Vinylux Hypnotic Dreams for my main color, and Sage Scarf for my accent nails.

Here are their other Vinylux Colors, they even have a nude collection for my fellow working girls out there!

Here's a photo of me with the super attentive and kind nail tech (forgot to ask her name) but she's awesome!

Oh and also here are the CND Shellac Shades that I really wanted to try, though it was too late because my Vinylux mani is already done when I saw this bunch of pretty glittters, and they even have 5 different top coats to choose from including a matte one.

The CND™ Shellac™ System ia actually perfect for those active gals and guys who doan't have time to change their nail color weekly, the color remains flawless foe two weeks and removes in 10 minutes without nail damage.

Of course I won't forget to show you my CND Vinylux Mani! Here are some pics:

Last but not the least, a cute group photo after the event. :)

And that's it for today!
Hope you guys enjoyed this post!

You can check out CND Philippines on both IG: @cnd_ph and on FB: CND Philippines.

Cute Sea Creatures Mani for my Birthday!

Hey guys!

This is just a quick nail art post, I just want to share to you guys the mani that I did and wore on my nails for my birthday.

Every year I always make sure that my current favorite polish is a part of my Birthday Mani, and this year my base color is Orly Sparkling Garbage, it's one of my all-time favorite because it's a combination of my two fave things, color green and holographic glitters.
😍

I had a hard time deciding what kind of design will go over my base, after a almost an hour of looking in my stash of plates, I found this animal plate BP-L063 that I've got from www.bornprettystore.com, it have a lot of different cute animal patterns, and found this dolphin and starfish pattern which is the perfect image for my base, they look like they're swimming in a sparkling sea.

BTW the polish that I used to color the dolphins is Caronia Day Off from the Escapades Collection, and for the Starfish I used WithShyan Geranium from the Nail It Box that Althea Korea sent me last month.

The photo below shows a peak of the stamping plate that I used. :)

And that's it for today!

I hope you guys liked it. :)

Unboxing plus Nail Art featuring Althea x WithShyan Nail It Box

Hey guys!

It's been a while, I've been very busy these past few weeks but I still update my instagram with some nail art every now and then.

Anyway what i've got for you guys today is my first ever unboxing post, yay! A few weeks ago, Althea Korea got in touch with me and asked me to do an unboxing of their Nail It Box, a Collaboration box with WithShyan, a well know Korean Nail Polish brand, and of course who can say no to a box full of nail goodies specially when you're a nail polish collector and enthusiast!?

So enough of my intro, off to the unboxing!

Here's what the box looks like, of course it was wrapped in the signature Althea Korea Pink wrapper, but I already ripped it out of excitement to see the content of the box that's why I wasn't able to take a photo. :p

First thing that you will see after opening the box.

And, underneath the zip baggie a separate box full of nail polish and essentials.

Now I'm gonna start enumerating the contents one by one;
*Cute Toe Separators
*Floral Paper File
*Pre-cut nail sponge
*Ruby Pusher (this one I really like because it's rubber and not the usual metal pusher)

*1 Genie Sticker
*3 Favorite Sticker

9 Colorful polishes, (from Left to right, top to bottom)
*Pink - Look at me ( 븱은보라 )
*Blue - Lapiz Lazuli ( 라피스 라즐리 )
*Chartreuse - Green Tea Latte ( 녹차라떼 )
*Green - Leaf ( 나믓잎 )
*Deep Yellow - Ripe Mango ( 잘익은망고 )
*Bright Yellow - Spring Forsythia ( 봄개나리 )
*Shimmer Pink - Bouquet ( 보케 )
*Red - In the Honeymoon Trunk ( 신흔여행 트렁크 안어 )
*Coral - Geranium ( 제라늄 )

The nails essentials:
*1 Nail Polish Remover (with an awesome scent)
*Filler Base
*Peel off (so love this because this prevents nail art mess and clean-ups)
last but not the least,
*UV Gel Top Coat (and it doesn't need lamp curing which is amazing!)

Of couse my unboxing experience won't be complete if I don't use the goodies for a nail art.
Here's the finished product :)

Products Used:
*Filler Base
*Geranium, Lapiz Lazuli, Ripe Mango, Spring Forsythia, Leaf, Look at me, and In the honeymoon trunk.
*UV Gel Top Coat
I must say that these products are really great if used correctly with the complete system, I wore this mani for a whole week and it's still chip free, that's an amazing feat for a mani that didn't went under a UV lamp.

All in all what I can say about the box is that it's definitely a bang for the buck offer, you'll get a lot of amazing nail products, (it's actually like a complete DIY gel mani set) and it's super cheap! The polishes are really awesome, great formula, wide brush and dries faster that normal. 😍

You can get the Althea x WithShyan Nail It Box HERE you better hurry though because they only have a limited quantity of boxes available. You can also check the Site for other awesome korean cosmetics and skin care products. 😊

And that's it for today!
Hope you gals liked it!

'Till next time,

OMG French Manicure Collection Complete Swatches and Review

Hey guys!

Happy Saturday! What I've got for you today are the swatches and my complete review of the recently launched OMG French Manicure Collection, these are 6 french inspired neutral-pastel hybrid cremes, the colors remind me of my favorite french macarons. ;)
I know it's been a while since I did a full collection review, I'm currently more focused on posting about my nail art designs, but this collection got my attention and I decided that I need to do a complete swatches and review feature about these gorgeous babies, because simply using them for my designs will not do them justice.

Let's start!

First up is OMG Mademoiselle (Young Woman) a mint pastel creme, with a blue undertone, the color is more subtle IRL, my lighting and camera made it look brighter than it's real color, on my nails are two medium coats, no top coat, the formula is good, not too thick nor too thin, dries a bit faster than normal.

Second polish is OMG Je t'aime (I love you) a dusty lilac pastel creme, that reminds me a lot of my moms' fave italian nude, though this is lighter, on my nails are two medium coats, no top coat, same good formula not too thick nor too thin.

Third polish from the collection is OMG Deja Vu (Already seen) a very subtle greige creme, perfect for everyday wear if you're an office girl (just like me), on my nails are two medium coats, no top coat, the formula is a bit thicker than the first two, but it's the kind of thick that I really like because it's easier to build and it doesn't pool on my cuticles, it also dries faster than normal.

Next up is my personal favorite from the French Manicure collection, OMG Avant Garde (new art technique) a warm light rose creme, that complements any skin tone, on my nails are two medium coats, no top coat, great formula, a bit thin, but not the 'gonna pool your cuticles' thin, dries a bit faster than normal.

Fifth polish is Tu es belle (you are beautiful) a pretty gray creme, with blue undertones, on my nails are two thick coats, no top coat, same OK formula as the first two polishes, dries faster than normal. Now, I know the streaks are super visible in this one, but I promise it's just the bad brush that I've got combined with my impatience lol.

Last but not the least is OMG C'est la vie (Such a life) a pale tan creme, another perfect nude for office girls out there, on my nails are two medium coats, no top coat, same formula as Avant Garde, dries faster than normal.

And were done!
Here are my final thoughts about the OMG French Manicure collection, all I can say is Wow! I haven't been hooked to an all creme collection for a very long time because of all the hype with textured, mattes, multichromes, holo, etc. OMG just hit the jackpot with these colors, they are not your usual boring neutrals, and also not the bright bleached neon pastel type that you have to think twice before you slap some on your nails specially if you're working in a corporate office, it has the right amount of color without being too showy, like when neutrals and pastels had a baby, it's this collection.

Now I wanna talk about the formulas, it's hard to find a neutral or pastel that is as pigmented as these babies, I can actually run with just two medium coats, if you're more patient than me you can try three thin coats for a more polished and streak free nails.  I love this kind of formula that this collection have, the not to thin not too thick as I described it, specially Avant Garde and C'est la vie, they are my ultimate favorites from this collection, color wise, and formula wise, regarding my swatch of Tu es belle it's really the combination of a bad brush (PR samples can have this kind of bummers) and my impatience, i tried trimming the brush and alas that happened 😂 so if you're eyeing that color go ahead, promise, the formula is as OK as the rest of this collection. :)

The OMG French Manicure Collection will be available real soon in all leading department stores and supermarket nationwide, with a SRP of Php30.
